Angelina:
I am Angelina Ampofo Asomaning a self-taught artist based in Accra, Ghana and specialising in oil and acrylic paintings on canvas.
I am a BSc Accounting graduate from the University of Education, Winneba-Ghana.
My paintings are inspired greatly by the emotions of women and children in the society.
My passion for art started at an early age but I only looked at
it as a hobby until some family and friends encouraged me to take it
more seriously.
In 2019, upon completion of the Ghana National Service Program, I decided to start doing commissioned pencil portraits for a fee. In January 2020 I linked with an established artist via Instagram who helped me start experimenting with oil and acrylic paints and I have been painting since then.
I am of the view, believe in yourself first, then work towards your dreams.
